Let's face it. We have all been there - craving to be a Galway Gal. I am lucky, I managed to live there for a brief period of time. If you want to experience Galway like a local from Salthill, read this article to ace the challenge.
1. Take a Stroll in Eyre Square:
I mean, come on. Did you even visit Galway if you didn't get chased by monstrous seagulls at Eyre Square?
2. Visit the Saturday Market at Latin Quarters
If you're visiting on a Saturday, make sure to check out the cutesy farmer's market at Latin Quarters.
3. Eat a plate of Fish and Chips
The Atlantic is home to some of the most delectable fishes. It'll be a sin to not to dig into a crispy, fresh piece of deep fried fish and chips. You can forget your diet for the day.
4. Eat a crepe... or two at Java's Creperie
Speaking of diet, make sure to eat a Nutella crepe at Java's Creperie - I mean it when I say this - it is one of the best places in Ireland to satiate your crepe cravings.
5. Pose for a photo at Claddagh Village
Don't mind the cold, or the wind from the Atlantic. Be sure to pose for a picture at Claddagh village with the backdrop of the colourful buildings.
6. Take a stroll on the Salthill Promenade
Your Galway visit will be absolutely incomplete without a nice stroll on the beach at Salthill. Grab yourself an ice cream, walk around the promenade or hop onto the Ferris Wheel on other side of the road to get a birds-eye view of the beautiful Atlantic city.
